HOBO Codes Exhibit - Gaithersburg Community Museum
The ever popular Hobo Codes Exhibit layout, originally created by MARRS members for the National Cryptologic Museum (NCM) at Fort Meade, was moved to the
Gaithersburg Community Museum in May 2021.   The Hobo Codes layout is an interactive exhibit to engage the general public, especially children, in an educational experience.  The educational focus is the history and use of hobo codes, notably along and around America's railroads.  The layout – set small town America circa 1920-1930 – allows visitors, via a push-button panel, to highlight various hobo codes located throughout the exhibit.  MARRS is pleased to partner with the Gaithersburg Community Museum to keep the Hobo Codes Exhibit layout available to the public.

For information about the Museum and to schedule a visit, please contact them via these links to
their website and their Facebook page.
